1. DEPTH. Bodies, bodies, bodies. Play your a## off for 5 minutes and get a sub. Blow an assignment, sub out. More than maybe anything, practices are a bear. Such high level competition on a daily basis at your position.
2. This is an unselfish team that truly looks to make the extra pass. The special vision that Winston has sets that tone, but a lot of times guys are looking for the one more pass on a reversal or the next cutter in transition. Great for chemistry and great for ball movement.
3. 15 feet and in offense. I think Bridges made the first shot outside the paint about halfway through the first half. Score on post touches, dribble penetration, and offensive rebounds. This team doesn't have to rely on the 3, which is great because it's not a strength yet.

1. PERIMETER SHOOTING. 0/6 in the first half. McQuaid not yet the knockdown shooter he was billed to be. But you better take Winston out of any negative on shooting. He has become the best shooter on this team and on his way to being a historical Spartan shooter. 3/11, but 1/9 outside of Cash.
2. TURNOVERS...there was a stretch from the 14:00-9:00 mark of the second half where it was ridiculous. Ended with 21.
3. FOULS. I always forget what November college basketball is like. 25 in the first half. The inability by an official to distinguish whether or not the contact has anything to do with the play is infuriating.
MISC
- It appeared that Izzo had a couple tributes to Jud Heathcote tonight. First, with the jacket. Second, with the first possession of zone (which they gave up a 3). Classy and respectful, as we'd expect from Tom.
- Step back for a second as an MSU fan. 42 years, 2 basketball coaches. Think on that. How awesome...
- Ball screen defense had some glimpses of issues. Ward hedged too hard and then got in the way on recovery of back to back plays in the first half. Also didn't show far enough on first possession of second half.
- North Florida is a bad basketball team
- With Ben Carter and Gavin Schilling being this capable, minutes will be tough to come by for Xavier Tillman and Kenny Goins.
- Nick Ward needs more touches. I know it's NFlorida, but he goes 6/6. Gotta find ways to run plenty of offense through him.
- The best comparison for Jaren Jackson Jr. is Kevin Garnett, in my opinion. Jackson quietly goes for 13 and 13.
- Zone offense looks were solid. Against any odd man front, Bridges will do damage on the baseline. Against even man fronts, Jackson patrols the high post. But with our perimeter shooting woes, I think we will keep seeing zone here and there.
